HOW
DO I...
MAKE
AN APPOINTMENT?
Doctor Appointments
The majority of doctors' appointments are able to be booked on the same day and
are available from 8.30am. The appointments can be made by telephone or in person. Some pre-booked appointments are available in advance.
Nurse Appointments
These can be made in advance by telephone or in person. We try to keep to time
with all appointments but sometimes delays are unavoidable. Please let us know
in time if you cannot keep your appointment, as someone else may need it.
Telephone Appointments
Telephone appointments are available with both doctors and nurses and can be booked
a few days in advance or on the day if urgent .
HOW DO I...
OBTAIN
A HOME VISIT?
If you require a home visit please telephone before 11.00am, if possible. This
enables the doctors to plan their rounds. The receptionists may ask you to give
brief details of your illness and the doctor may ring you back to assess the urgency
of the condition and decide if a home visit is necessary.
Home visits after 11.00am
will be made by the doctor who is on-call for emergencies. Please try, however, to restrict
calls after 11.00am to those which are really urgent, otherwise the doctor may
be delayed when needed for genuine emergency. If at all possible try to come to
the surgery.
HOW DO I...
OBTAIN
TEST RESULTS?
To obtain results ring the surgery on 01372 462726 between 2.00-3.00pm. The doctors
will need to check the results before the receptionist is able to give any information
to you. If the doctor needs to speak to you personally the receptionist will arrange
a telephone appointment.
